Every year, Makar Sankranti arrives, and people across India celebrate in a variety of ways, depending on their own traditions. When I was a kid, I didn't understand why we celebrated Makar Sankranti or why flying kits were important in this event. After a long wait, I know the importance of this festival, so using this platform I am sharing the significance and importance of flying kites.
Makar Sankranti is one of India's most well-known festivals, and it has a significant religious significance in Hinduism. Every year on the 14th of January, it is one of the most popular harvest festivities and marks the beginning of the Sun-ascension God's. The day is thought to herald the start of spring and the conclusion of the winter season in our country. The days are becoming longer and the nights are getting shorter since this day.
Sankranti is a Hindu festival that takes place in the month of Magh, which is the first of the Hindu Solar Calendar. As the farmers receive new crops, we celebrate this celebration. Makar Sankranti commemorates the day when the sun enters the Capricorn zodiac or we can say that sun moving northward after reaching its southernmost point. Sankranti, on the other hand, represents light. It also sends a message of mental acuity. The hellish month of 'Pausa' comes to a close end on this day. In Vedic philosophy, this is referred to as Uttaryan. As a result, this day is considered to represent the start of Uttarayan's fortunate season.
In different parts of India, people celebrate in different ways and called it with different names. People share sweets, flying kites, bathe in holy water, greet one another, and many other activities. Flying kites in this festival marks the important of this day, On this day, both children and adults enjoy flying kites and are looking forward to it. From dusk to dawn, colourful kites decorate the skies. Today's sky is a joy to behold. Do you have reason of flying kites? After reading the literature I came up with some answers which today I am sharing is that many people believed that it allows them to be exposed to the sun's rays. This way people can get rid of skin infections and illnesses that are associated with winter.
